Check-in was very quick and efficient. Was able to access my room early as it was ready when I arrived and I was able to leave my bags free of charge upon checking out as my train did not depart for a number of hours. Good variety buffet breakfast including a good selection of cooked food, along with cereals, croissants, fruit, etc. Hotel location was brilliant. it is across the road from Newcastle Central Station and pretty much next door to the Metro system. It is only a 5-10 minute walk into the Town Centre. There are multiple eating and drinking places nearby and you are very close to the Bigg Market which seems to be the main thoroughfare at the weekend. Got very busy but were still getting served pretty quickly. Absolutely cracking system with very friendly people. Pints in the city centre were about £6 on average.

Location is perfect for those travelling by train as literally over the road. The breakfast buffet was much better than expected with an excellent selection in all categories. One always worries that the hot food will suffer from staying too long in the buffet bar, but this was not the case. I booked a room with the walk in shower, as being elderly and find walking a little difficult sometimes , it is needed . I was very happy. Also on check in was asked if there were any mobility problems and one of the staff took details so that in the event of fire , I knew the procedure so that assistance could be given . I thought this superb ! It is in the heart of the city which is very crowded , but I didn`t ( 4th floor ) find noise a problem.

Having read some of the less favourable reviews of this hotel we were a bit worried, but we didn't need to be. Central location, just across from Central Station and near bars, shops and Metro. The Staff were helpful (no quibbles when I requested a room away from the lifts), clean & spacious room, comfy bed & good shower. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The soundproofing in the room was really good, so the fact that the hotel is located in a busy area was not an issue. It was good that the hotel had its own little bar area & drink prices were reasonable.

The great thing about this hotel is it's straight across from the main railway station and also has a metro station right outside too. The staff who were on that day and evening of the 27th May were excellent and very helpful. We arrived early and the young girl said she had a room ready on the seventh floor, it was great as we were nice and quiet up there ( no street noise ) It's just a short walk towards the shopping centre The breakfast was plentiful and lots of choices. I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to people and friends.

The hotel was easy to find, opposite the train station. The room looked exactly like the photo on booking. com, bed was very comfy, and we had a good night sleep. The shower was easy to use and big, no need to take shower gel or shampoo/conditioner as they were all provided and are eco-friendly. We stayed for magic weekend and had a lovely time. Breakfast is buffet style and high quality. You even have the choice of waffles. We arrived 2 hours early and we didn't have to wait for our room.
